It was a rare opportunity to return to my alma mater — The University of Chicago — as a consultant. In 2008, fd2s was asked to redesign an exterior signage program for the medical campus and an interior signage program for the new hospital pavilion designed by Raphael Viñoly. I managed the project, coordinating with the client group and collaborating on the wayfinding and maintenance strategies.
